The Okavango Delta is a huge inland delta where the water of the Okavango River transpires and evaporates rather than flowing out to sea. The region is home to swathes of marshland covered with rushes and reeds and numerous islands teaming with exotic wildlife. Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp

Nine exclusive tented suites are strung out on either side of the camp’s handsome thatched guest areas. Raised on wooden platforms, the spacious suites let in the sights and sounds of the African bush and offer glamourous, light and earthy interiors. Front-facing beds make the most of the sensational Delta views, while a spacious dressing area sits snugly behind the bed’s giant headboard, in between the bedroom and ensuite bathroom, to ensure the utmost privacy. The beautiful bathrooms come complete with indoor and al fresco showers.

Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp

Taking its inspiration from the water lily, Xaranna is a delightful camp with just nine ensuite safari tents that combine canvas and bleached timber. The overall atmosphere of the camp is cool, light and airy, in keeping with the gentle beauty of its environment. The safari tents are organic in design and are delicately decorated in shade of khaki and soft lily pink. Each tent boasts a romantic outdoor sala, private plunge pool, indoor bathtub and al fresco shower.

Xudum Okavango Delta Lodge

Explore the intricate watery canals, replenished by cyclical rainfalls, by mokoro or traverse the golden grasslands in search of the Big Five by vehicle, retreating to the contemporary comfort of your suite by night. Machaba Camp

Machaba Camp is situated in the game rich Khwai area, on the eastern tongue of the Okavango Delta. All ten luxury tents are situated in the beautiful riverine treeline on the Khwai River, overlooking the famous Moremi Game Reserve. From these tented verandas one can watch the daily parade of animals coming down to drink at the river in front of camp.

Abu Camp

Making use of the unique high-ceiling and airy canvas style throughout the camp, the six en-suite rooms exhibit their own distinctive elegance. Blending in seamlessly with the natural surroundings, each tent is graced with generous decks and an outdoor copper bathtub. For reflection, relaxation and even meditation, one can rest in the sitting area of the room, ponder or create art at the writing desk, or appreciate the views from the decks sculpted around the lofty fig and jackalberry trees shading the tents. The stylish furnishings and fittings – individually chosen for each room – impart an air of opulence amid the bush setting.

Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge

Stairs rising out of bower of trees lead into cool and spacious interior, ending on a terrace set just above ground level. A curved wooden roof soars high overhead, creating a grand and immense sense of scale. High interiors let in the clear African light and the endless Delta horizons, while an interactive kitchen tantalises guests with the fragrant aroma of spices at each mealtime. Warm and inviting, the vast expanse of the bar invites guests to linger over a sundowner drink or a morning cappuccino, enjoying spectacular views over a sea of papyrus from the elevated viewing deck. Descending to the shaded forest floor, a series of decks open out onto a lantern-lit boma formed from huge logs of descending size that mimic the tail bones of the pangolin.

Vumbura Plains Camp

Vumbura Plains Camp lies north of the Moremi National Park in the Vumbura Reserve. The Camp comprises of Vumbura North and Vumbura South camps. Accommodations at both camps comprise of seven suites raised up on decks. Each open plan suite consist a plunge pool, large deck and sun chaise lounger chairs. Game viewing is excellent year round from both land and water to include almost all species living in the Okavango Delta.

Belmond Eagle Island Lodge

Belmond Eagle Island Lodge is perched on a private island in the Okavango Delta. Twelve deluxe tented rooms are housed on wooden platforms to include plunge pool and large private deck. The lodge offers al fresco dining overlooking a lagoon, fire pit under the stars together with scenic helicopter safari, bush picnics, star gazing, mekoro excursions and more.

Kwando-Linyanti

The Kwando and Linyanti rivers are a permanent water source for the animals. This region is important for migration from the drier regions of northern Botswana. There are three concessions in this region. Linyanti towards the east, Selinda in the center and Kwando in the northern part. This area offers a diverse habitat rich in species. The Savuti Channel and Selinda Spillway are further away, both fossil channels offering a plethora of animal life.

DumaTau Camp

DumaTau is situated in the Linyanti Concession, bordering Chobe National Park in the east and close to the confluence of the Linyanti and Kwando Rivers. This recently remodeled camp overlooks a lagoon and is built under a grove of mangosteen trees, offering a peaceful haven. This camp is powered slolely by Solar and offers ten tented rooms on one hundred and twenty five thousand hectars. Wild game is prolific in this area….large elephant concentrations, red Lechwe, Cape Buffalo, Burchell’s Zebra and much more. DumaTau offers day and night game drives together with nature walks and barge trips on the Linyanti waterway allowing opportunity to view and photgraph birds and animals close to their hides in the Savute.

Zarafa Camp

Zarafa Camp is situated in the famous Selinda Reserve in the Linyanti region of Botswana. In Arabic Zarafa means ‘the beloved one’ named after a giraffe that was given to Charles the fifth of France by the Egyptian Viceroy and turned out to be an inspirational gift! Four tented guest suites offfer sweeping views of Zibidianja Lagoon, set under shady trees. Zebra, giraffe, kudu, buffalo, lechwe and cheetah roam this area as well as over three hundred species of bird can be seen. Guests enjoy safari by game drive vehicle and boat. Savuti Camp

This intimate camp’s en-suite accommodation is in seven large walk-in tents, including a family unit that is raised off the ground. From the camp’s thatched dining area, a small pool and large viewing area with fire deck extend outwards on raised wooden decks, providing a wonderful view of the Channel and its wildlife.

Kings Pool Camp

Kings Pool is a premier, permanent camp within the Linyanti Reserve. The camp offers nine spacious, thatched, tented suites, each with a plunge pool and open air shower. A large viewing deck where guests congregate to enjoy wildlife up close. Kings Pool offers day and night game drives, boat excursions and game drives. This area is prolific with wild game, herds of elephants and buffalos can go into the thousands. It is common to see leopards, wild dogs and lion. This is also a conservation area for the protection of Bird habitat.

Moremi Game Reserve

The Moremi Game Reserve is located on the eastern shores of the Okavango Delta. Established in 1962 to protect the local biosphere, this area comprises a third of the Okavango Delta region, and it is home to a variety of safari camps and wildlife lodges. Many of these are located within their own private wildlife reserves inside the greater Moremi Game Reserve. Jacana Camp

Located on a beautiful island in the Jao Concession on the Moremi Game Reserve, Jacana Camp is a typical Delta camp. Surrounded by seasonally-inundated floodplains and papyrus swamps, Jacana Camp has five en-suite Meru-style tents, including a family tent, built on raised wooden decks to facilitate its panoramic views of the Okavango Delta. The main dining area is on an elevated platform between two magnificent sycamore fig trees and surrounded by dense wild date palms. Jacana Camp also has a cosy lounge with an area for an open fire under the stars and a plunge pool for cooling off in the midday sun.

Sanctuary Chiefs Camp

Chief’s Camp was constructed with the environment in mind. It is located on Chief’s Island in the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp consists of ten stylish, luxury pavilions with indoor and outdoor showers, private decks and heated bedding for the chilly evenings. Chobe National Park

Located in northern Botswana, Chobe National Park is one of the largest of its kind in Africa. It comprises the luxuriant floodplains and woodland of Serondela in the northeast, the marshlands and inland lake of the Savuti Marshes in the west and the Linyanti Marsh along the Linyanti River in the northwest. Other reserves in the area include Kwando and Selinda where visitors can see migratory mega fauna including elephants, buffalos, zebras and wildebeests up close. Chobe Chilwero

Consisting of fifteen cottages with private garden, Chobe Chilwero offers some of the finest views of floodplains and Islands across the Chobe River towards Namibia. Chobe Chilwero borders the Chobe National Park, home to the largest population of Elephants on the African continent. Facilities include a treetop Spa designed to incorporate the beauty and abundant nature around the lodge, embracing true African design. Enjoy a photographic safari cruise, an early morning breakfast and breathtaking views of the Chobe river and its fascinating inhabitants. Ngoma Safari Lodge

Ngoma safari Lodge is situated in the Chobe National Park, offering some of the largest concentration of game in Africa….often over one hundred elephants can be seen on a single game drive as well as waterbuck, giraffe, kudu, sable and many other species. The cozy thatched lodge offers a wonderful viewing deck and pool with amazing views of the Chobe River and Caprivi floodplains where herds of elephants and zebra can be seen peacefully grazing. Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge

Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge is positioned within the Chobe National Park towards the north end of the Savuti Marsh. The lodge offers stunning views across the channel and consists of twelve rooms perched on raised platforms, each with a spacious private deck. Belmond Savute Elephant lodge is considered one of the most luxurious camps in this part of northern Botswana. Late afternoon elephants make their way down to the channel to drink. Chobe Game Lodge

Chobe Game Lodge was made famous by the marriage of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor at the lodge in the 1970’s. The lodge consists of forty seven air conditioned rooms and suites, river facing. The rooms were recently renovated and redecorated. The décor and design features a distinctive Moroccan theme. The lodge offers morning and evening sunset cruises on the Chobe River, game drives and cultural exploration day trips. Wildlife is plentiful in this area of Chobe to include large breeding herds of elephants, kudu, buffalo, giraffe and crocodiles.

Chobe Under Canvas

Chobe under canvas is a semi permanent tented camp, consisting of five Meru style tents and ensuite bathrooms with bucket showers. Activities include game drives and boating on the Chobe River. Wonderful meals are served under an open ‘dining room’ tent on a long wooden table lit by lanterns. Wildlife and bird life is abundant.
