We have known Jenny Richards for many years. Our Africa Safaris is definitely her true passion and it is very evident when she plans amazing vacations for her clients. The “Spirit of Africa” safari Jenny customized for our small group of four couples was extremely well planned from beginning to end. From our initial air travel, then on to helicopter rides, bush plane transports, guided tours, and river boat rides, to carefully selected safari camps, ever single detail was taken care of seamlessly. This made for an extremely relaxing trip for us all so we could enjoy our environment without any worry at all. All four safari camps were unique and very special, and the extra activities Jenny chose were superb. The guides were unbelievable in their knowledge of the bush and its inhabitants, their communication skills, and their eagerness to please. The final stay at Jao Camp was phenomenal—we did not want to leave! From the first day of our trip, each day just unfolded to more adventures and surprises, when we couldn’t imagine it would just keep getting better and better. Thanks to Jenny’s expertise, the timing of our adventure in the Okovango Delta couldn’t have been better. Her vast knowledge of all of Southern Africa translates into having the best safari experience possible. We would highly recommend Jenny and Our Africa Safaris for an unforgettable trip of a lifetime!!

This was our first trip to Africa, and our first trip with Jenny. She went all out to accommodate the different personalities and interests in our group. The trip was seamlessly orchestrated from the beginning helicopter tour at Vic Falls to the end with wine tasting near Cape Town. We stayed at many different camps, each with a different way of enjoying Zimbabwe and Botswana and their wildlife. After ending our safaris at 5 Star JAO Camp (!!), we went on to enjoy the beauty and history of South Africa. Being safari novices, our one mistake was not taking Jenny’s astute advice to extend our stay. Since we were already in Africa, we should have at least added another week to the trip! Jenny tried to tell us…

The entire trip was professional and enjoyable. Jenny is very particular about the places she wants her people to go! Having the whole “Our Africa” crew, Jenny, Kitti and Chloe, along for the trip was reassuring for us newcomers, and we had fun getting better acquainted, too. Jenny’s timing was also impeccable. We were on the Okavango Delta just after the rains when it was dry and there were very few mosquitoes, and left as the floods were just starting to come in – what a phenomenal event to witness! Jenny really knows this country so the planning was extremely well done.

We didn’t have any expectations about the trip, but we were blown away by the people! In fact, we found the people we dealt with to be as impressive as the wildlife! And the wildlife was fantastic!! The guides were able to answer all of our questions, and they even made birders out of many of us!

I would rate this trip at the TOP and would recommend it to anyone. Even if you don’t know if you really want to go, it’s totally worth it. It was a once in a lifetime trip that I hope we can repeat many times in the future in different areas. Thank you, Jenny, for opening our eyes to fabulous travel experiences!!

Our custom luxury safari experience with “Our Africa Safaris” was an unforgettable lifetime adventure. Five unique safari camp destinations in Zimbabwe, Botswana and Tanzania matched us with guides and staff that shared their passion and historical knowledge beyond our expectations.

Jenny is the consummate travel guide. Her African heritage, background, experience, diplomatic nature and skills guided and maximized our short visit. She addressed all possible needs, working to keep her clients engaged and curious. Any tour group can have challenges but Jenny knows what her clients will appreciate and schedules each day to optimize that experience. Each safari camp was special and unique. Our safari camp guides worked hard to share their love of their county, culture and environment. The institutional knowledge taught by camp staff and guides made us appreciate the fragile environment that is being challenged in Africa today.

We have already recommended Jenny and her Africa travel company to many interested friends. We could not have had a better adventure!

Gary and I have know Jenny personally for 20+ years and she has been our exclusive travel agent for that same length of time. She has planned trips to Mexico, Spain, the UK, all of Europe, Australia and beyond for us over the years.

She has recently started Our Africa Safaris and we were honored to be invited as guests on her first “Spirit of Botswana” adventure. She is from South Africa and had previously put together an amazing trip for us through South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe and we knew this one would be equally well done. We were not disappointed.

The accommodations at each camp were five star, the guides were knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating to the needs of our group of 11 travelers. The food was out of this world and every day we were amazed at the new adventures she had planned for us. In Chobe we saw just about every type of animal Africa has to offer and some we had never seen before. We flew in small planes from camp to camp and had views of Botswana that most do not have the opportunity to enjoy. We were in the Okavango Delta as the waters were moving in from Angola so the mode of transport on each morning and afternoon safari was different. It could be a Land Cruiser, john boat or the native Mokoro depending on the water depth. The wildlife was diverse and we were able to see everything from a Black Mamba snake to huge herds of elephants playing in the rising waters and big cats lounging from the tree tops.

Jenny had every thing planned to the last detail making our holiday stress free and it ended much to soon. It was another of the many trips of a lifetime she has planned for us.

Soon we will be going on our second safari, which is also being arranged by the estimable Jenny Richards, of Our Africa Safaris. No matter in which camp that we lay our heads down to listen to the rhythms of the African night, we rest comfortably with the knowledge that Ms. Richards maintains a keen awareness of our travel for each and every day we’re there.

Asante Sana!

Culture, Wildlife And Wine Custom Journey

Culture, Wildlife And Wine Custom Journey

Jen, thanks for the Luxury African Safaris trip of a lifetime you organized through “Our Africa Safaris.” Your guidance and selection of activities gave us the best taste of South Africa. You really know your country. The people were so friendly and the food was great. Going to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to see the powerful falls and doing the nature walk was amazing. We walked from a desert climate into a rainforest. Staying at The Elephant Camp was quite an experience. I never thought I’d stay in a tent that seemed like a 5-star hotel room, with my own private balcony and splash pool. The sunset at the Gorge cocktail hour seemed unreal to be in the middle of the bush being served appetizers and drinks from a linen tablecloth, not a sole around, not a light, not a building, just animal sounds and of course a beautiful sunset. The people at camp were so friendly and would go out of their way to help you. Of course petting and feeding elephants, not in an enclosure, duh we’re in Africa, was a chance of a lifetime. Well, I never thought I’d sit on a porch petting a full grown cheetah either.
