Culture, Wildlife And Wine Custom Journey

March 23, 2017 By Our Africa Safaris

Culture, Wildlife And Wine Custom JourneyJen, thanks for the Luxury African Safaris trip of a lifetime you organized through “Our Africa Safaris.” Your guidance and selection of activities gave us the best taste of South Africa. You really know your country. The people were so friendly and the food was great. Going to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to see the powerful falls and doing the nature walk was amazing. We walked from a desert climate into a rainforest. Staying at The Elephant Camp was quite an experience. I never thought I’d stay in a tent that seemed like a 5-star hotel room, with my own private balcony and splash pool. The sunset at the Gorge cocktail hour seemed unreal to be in the middle of the bush being served appetizers and drinks from a linen tablecloth, not a sole around, not a light, not a building, just animal sounds and of course a beautiful sunset. The people at camp were so friendly and would go out of their way to help you. Of course petting and feeding elephants, not in an enclosure, duh we’re in Africa, was a chance of a lifetime. Well, I never thought I’d sit on a porch petting a full grown cheetah either.

“The Exchange of Spirit Links Our Humanity”

February 24, 2017 By Our Africa Safaris

“The Exchange of Spirit Links Our Humanity”“Once a journey is designed, equipped, and put in process, a new factor enters and takes over. A trip, a safari, an exploration, is an entity different from all other journeys. It has personality, temperament, individuality and uniqueness. A journey is a person in itself: no two are alike. And all plans, safeguards, policing and coercion are fruitless. We find after years of struggle that we do not take a trip: a trip takes us.” – John Steinbeck Safaris sweep us into the world of raw beauty, infinite awe and delicious discoveries. Seeing a furry lion cub’s paw and hearing a three-ton rhinoceros snort simply does that. A special reality results from such shared public experiences and singular personal encounters. Safaris enter the rare and escape the routine. They provide a guarantee that the traveller’s arena of reference will be challenged, as much as they confirm how the opportunity will expose each of us to a fresh glimmer of our inner self – if we so choose. This will unfold into mindfulness about our interactions with both animals and humans, which in turn will reveal volumes about our very own humanity.
